==Synopsis==
Senri is a young female [[Oni (folklore)|Oni]] who lived with her mother in the mountains. One day when the mother was gathering food, Senri heard a loud bang, and her mother did not return. Desperate for food, Senri enters the human settlement, where she collapses of hunger. Shino stumbles across Senri, and brings her home. Senri is initially scared of humans, but quickly learns to like the people she meets.

Chapters involve Senri learning new things about the human world, meeting new people, and generally being both curious and easily frightened. The theme of the story is cross-culture communication, wherein Senri, Shino, and the people around them learn how to communicate their feelings to each other effectively and come to realise that they're not all that different.
