Criticism
The list is composed of 16 former Turkic states. But second entry (Batı Hun İmparatorluğu Template:Lang-en) was actually a part of the first entry (Xiongnu).[citation needed] Moreover, it needs further linguistic evidence to list the first four and the sixth (Avar) as Turkic states. It is also questionable to list Gaznavids and the Mungal Empire as Turkic states. Because, although founded by Turks, they were quickly assimilated in the local population.
