The Southwest Recreation Center, is one of three athletic facilities at the University of Florida with services available to students, alumni, and faculty members. The facility is currently 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) total, and construction has started on a major expansion.[1] that is expected to include an expanded cardiovascular room and an indoor track.
Facilities include
- A 14,000 square feet (1,300 m2) strength and conditioning room
- Six indoor basketball courts
- Six indoor racquetball courts
- A multipurpose gymnasium for indoor soccer, handball, and basketball
- A 5,600 square feet (520 m2) room with cardiovascular equipment
