Microphone Explanation

Has there been anything explaining why they made an entirely new controller, instead of simply sticking with the standard PS2 controller, and simply adding a microphone?99.228.17.253 23:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC) <<well gameplay and story sections aren't even made so i doubt anything will be written about that! wouldnt it be better just to write at the end of seaman 1 article: " a sequel; seaman 2 was released in japan in 2007 for the ps2, rather than create this piss poor excuse for an article.....
