The International Punta Classic Opera Festival is an opera festival in Punta del Este, Uruguay. It takes place every January (for three weeks starting in late December) with performances of opera and concert productions. The festival was founded by soprano Luz del Alba Rubio, who is also the Artistic Director. The Music Director and Chief Conductor is Matthias Manasi, who will lead in 2011 the Punta Classic Festival Orchestra in a new production of Puccini's opera La bohème and some Galas de Zarzuela.
