John Jefferson Poland was the founder of the Sexual Freedom League in 1963. He then moved to the San Francisco Bay area and focused his organizing efforts at the University of California, Berkeley. In the early 1980's, he plead guilty to child molestation charges and based on a posted "confession", regularly receives injections of medroxyprogesterone.
