Charles J. "Buddy" Gorman[1] (September 2, 1921 – April 1, 2010) is an American stage and movie actor who became famous for portraying a member of the comedy teams, The East Side Kids and The Bowery Boys. Prior to acting he tried out for the Brooklyn Dodgers farm team, the Montreal Royals, as a shortstop. However, his small stature (5'5") prevented him from being signed.[1]
Upon his retirement he and his wife Rosemary ran a magic shop in Los Angeles called Fun-N-Stuff. As of 2009, Gorman was living in a retirement home in Rochester, NY.[1]
He passed away on April 1, 2010 in Webster, New York at the age of 88.[2]
