The village was first mentioned in a written document in 1305. At the end of the century it already had a parish church. The original wooden church belonged to the Protestants during the [[Reformation]]. After the division of Cieszyn Silesia in 1920, western part of the village has been incorporated to [[Czechoslovakia]] as [[Horní Líštná]].
