Leslie Pack Kaelbling is an American roboticist, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[1] She was a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D., 1990) and a student of Nils J. Nilsson[2]. Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty, machine learning, and sensing with applications to robotics.
She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Machine Learning Research.[3] In 2000, she was elected as a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.[4]
