Command Performance is an Action/Thriller film that was directed, co-written, and stars Dolph Lundgren.
The film premiered at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival on July 18th 2009. The movie was picked up in the US by FirstLook Studios and released on DVD & Blu-ray on November 3rd 2009[1].
Filming took place between August and September 2008 in Sofia, Bulgaria and Moscow, Russia.
Dolph Lundgren wanted to use his drumming skills on screen, and the story was inspired by a concert Madonna did for Russian President Vladimir Putin[2].
The movie marks Ida Lundgren's (Dolph's daughter) screen début.
Story
A Moscow charity concert turns bloody when armed extortionists take the head liner American pop-star Venus and the Russian President Petrov hostage. But help is on the way when the drummer from the warm-up band, a California ex-biker, and a young Russian F.S.B. agent team up to try to save the day.
But things are not as simple as they appear, when old ghosts from the Soviet Union appear to haunt the world...
