:Actually, that was because of a shared reference on the [[List of Medium episodes (season 7)|Season 7 page]]. I placed the main body of the reference on the page preview, so when the shared ref on the title/date sections appeared via transclusion on the [[List of Medium episodes|main list page]], it appeared without any data. When I moved the main body of the reference to the RTitle section, and the shared reference to the season 7 preview, the problem corrected itself. The same thing happened on the [[List of The Good Wife episodes]], though that wasn't the edit you created on that page; that one had the curious side effect of shifting the placement of the link so that when it jumped to the Season 2 section, the header is right at the top of the page. Before your edit, without the space, it included the last title from Season 1, and I'm curious if eliminating that was your intention with that one? Because if so, Bravo! ::The only result I wanted was to remove the two pages from [[Category:Pages with broken reference names]]. And yes, on pages that are going to be transcluded, the full reference needs to be between the <nowiki><includeonly></includeonly></nowiki> tags or it can cause a very hard to find cite error if there are shared references. :::Maybe I misunderstood you, but I feel like I might have explained that poorly. The problem was, it was a <nowiki><ref name=copy/></nowiki> tag that was transcluding, and it worked fine on the Season 7 page, but the full <nowiki><ref>data</ref></nowiki> got left behind on the season page because it was on a part of the page that doesn't transclude. The list page didn't know what <nowiki><ref name=copy/></nowiki> meant as a result. The <nowiki><ref>data</ref></nowiki> had to be on the shared portion for both pages to work. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Dallas Mavericks, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

Your message regarding List of Medium episodesThank you for reverting my "test" of the page List of Medium episodes. It was a probably pointless since all I did was add a single space after a period. When I made the edit the page was included in Category:Pages with broken reference names. Probably because for a short period of time the tranclusion of List of Medium episodes (season 7) in List of Medium episodes was causing a ref error. It has been my experience that after such a tranclusion based ref error that saving the origional pages is needed to update the category. I have never been able to tell but simply waiting would probably work as well. My edit simply forced the category to be updated. See Categories#Why might a category list not be up to date. In any case I wrote test in the edit summary because it is polite to include an ES. 24.34.148.49 (talk) 23:09, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

And yes, on pages that are going to be transcluded, the full reference needs to be between the <includeonly></includeonly> tags or it can cause a very hard to find cite error if there are shared references. 24.34.148.49 (talk) 00:11, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
