EveryScape is attempting to compete with Google's Street View service, which currently offers views of the United States, France, Australia, Japan, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland, Taiwan, Canada, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Singapore, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Hong Kong, Macau and South Africa, and is rapidly expanding[1]. EveryScape differs from Street View in that the service also displays the interiors of some buildings[2][3].

Releases

Everyscape made its debut on October 29, 2007, with the cities of Boston, New York, Miami, and Aspen, Colorado[4].

On December 13, Lexington, Massachusetts was added, and on January 17, 2008 came Cambridge, Massachusetts. Laguna Beach, California was added a week later on January 24.

On April 7, 2008, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. were added[5][6]. Later in the month, Beverly Hills was added.

Future

The company, based in the Boston area, has recently secured $7 million in funding for a planned expansion[7][8].
