BTW - just read your comment on my talkpage, you're absolutely right I shouldn't have sent it but it was not aimed at Pyrotec who I know was trying to assist me, it was aimed at Leeds 120 who had abused me. You are right though, I shouldnt have sent it but it was not aimed at Pyrotec whose efforts I really appreciated. Speedy deletion declined: Argentine Criollo
Hello Acather96. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Argentine Criollo, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Two sentences is hardly blatant. I will watch list. Thank you. GedUK 07:36, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- OK, fair enough. I guess I was a little over-zealous with the tagging. Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 16:24, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Copyright process
Just so you know, you don't have to list newly blanked pages at WP:CP if they're already listed on one of the WP:SCV daily pages since SCV is already transcluded there. VernoWhitney (talk) 18:47, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, I think you have already told me that and I apologise. Acather96 (talk) 18:48, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- No worries, it all comes out in the end. And since I don't think I've told you lately, I really do appreciate the work you do at SCV so I'm not still doing all of it on my own. Cheers! VernoWhitney (talk) 18:51, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the thanks. And what do you think of my new userpage?Acather96 (talk) 20:30, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I like it. It's certainly neater than mine, but mine is also a dumping ground for some links I use often but not often enough to bookmark. VernoWhitney (talk) 17:08, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you
You were so kind to write and so very polite. You are right! I am trying to write my own bio. Should I just give up? I was told it was a good idea by other writers. I thought if I just listed my education and publications as well as the focus of my work that would be neutral enough, ie, not a conflict of interest article. But if so, I will cease and desist. However, I would love help editing articles. IF you have time. The first one is on Anne Bradstreet. The editors have posted a portrait, saying that it is a portrait of Bradstreet. It is not. And, they also have a few erroneous points. Otherwise, it is impressive! Thanks so so much, Chagor62 (talk) 20:56, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thats alright :)Acather96 (talk) 07:10, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Many thanks
Well blow me down! I have been editing on wiki since February 2007, and noone has ever given me a barnstar before! Thank you very much it actually means quite a lot! By the way I have finished the redlinks on List of places in Bedfordshire, there should be an article now for every place in Bedfordshire (bar a few very obscure and possibly obsolete hamlets). Bleaney (talk) 22:47, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well you completley deserve it :) You've made tons of article's, and have added allot to the project. I am going to 'launch' WP:BEDS when I write the new members guide. The last job I have to do is prioritise articles , (you can also see a useful table in the Assesment subpage (here. If you ever have some free time and wouldn't mind giving me a hand, then that would be fantastic! Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 07:38, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- I have just finished prioritising all the remaining WP:BEDS articles :-) Bleaney (talk) 22:27, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Fine point of copyright
Hi. :) I continue to note and appreciate your good work in copyright cleanup. I say that because I don't want to give you the wrong impression, since I'm mostly like to drop by when I see something that needs clarification. :D I don't want you to think that I'm only here to criticize!
In this particular case, I've just cleared the article Colorado v. Bannister. Certainly no doubt there's copying there, but in this case we're okay, as U.S. copyright law says that court decisions (in any country) are not copyrighted. See Wikipedia:Public domain. This one can be tricky, because not all court documents are covered, but judgments are. And this is particularly the case with the Supreme Court, because it's a federal agency, and works of federal U.S. employees are copyright free in the U.S.
I figured I'd better point this out to you, since you may encounter such situations again in SCV. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:48, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks once again for your invaluable help. As I am in the UK, I was completley unaware of this :) Acather96 (talk) 07:32, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Sonia escolano copyright
Hello. I am the owner of http://www.mynahasgone.com and all its content therefore I think that this article in wikipedia is not a copyright violation.
However, I've written a new article without infringing material, in the following temporary subpage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Magina3/Sonia_Escolano/Temp Please, I wish this issue can be cleaning soon. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Magina3 (talk • contribs) 17:32, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- If you are the owner of the text, please see WP:DCM which explains how to 'donate' copyrighted materials. Good start on the new article by the way! Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 07:31, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Clfswm
Hello Acather96. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Clfswm, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not an unambiguous copyright infringement, or there is other content to save. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 21:11, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

George Weinstock and Timothy Ley
Hi Acather96, Regarding the George Weinstock, Timothy Ley and Elaine Mardis articles, this is my own work that I have submitted to Wikipedia. I have emailed the appropriate party to request WP:CONSENT. Please hold off on deleting. Thanks, gremerow --Gremerow (talk) 21:28, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- OK, noted. You need to put a short message on the talk page of both articles describing this. They are still going through AFD anyway, but good luck! Elaine Mardis has already been deleted, if you want to try again your best bet would be going to WP:RFUD,which deals with requests for undeletion. Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 07:26, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks - I am still working on George Weinstock but believe I have resolved the issues for the other articles. For further info please see my talk page. Thanks, --Gremerow (talk) 22:32, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

False positives
Hi. :) I just wanted to remind you that an SCV listing is only a false positive if there is no text duplication at all. If there is duplication, but the text is free for reuse, it's an {{subst:SCV|n}}
. That's true even if it's an attributed split. It's important not to label content as "false positives" when duplication does exist as it may on review give a misleading impression of the accuracy of Corensearchbot. You may not have tagged anything with false lately; I'm about a week behind you guys at WP:CP, but I've noticed a few things in the last couple of days, and I just came upon one at Wikipedia:Suspected copyright violations/2010-07-16, which I'm working on now. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:45, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Me again. :) Why did you mark [1], taken from [2], as "Material PD or appropriately licensed for use."? I'd like to see if I can follow your reasoning there. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:55, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm not sure if you missed this note, but I figured I'd try to draw your attention to it, since you've been actively editing. I'm wondering why you concluded that material was appropriately licensed or PD. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:52, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the note on false positives? With regards to Angela Myles Beeching, I don't know. Obviously there is no way this could be PD or licensed under the Creative Commons, and I can only apologise. Luckily, it's already been deleted, so there is no problem with that now. Anyway, once again, thanks and sorry :) Acather96 (talk) 06:49, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- No problem; I wasn't looking for an apology. :) I just figured if you were working under a misimpression about copyright status of something there, we probably needed to work it out. There are a lot of rules to juggle in copyright work, I know, as I've been doing this full time for a good two years on Wikipedia now. Mistakes happen, but misunderstandings need sorting. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:32, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Files For Upload
Hello, and thanks for helping us out at Files for upload. I just wanted to let you know that when you accept a request, like you did here, you should always substitute the {{ffu a}} template. Otherwise, the section doesn't get automatically archived. Additionally, you should use {{ffu}} to indicate that the file has been uploaded, as well as what name it is under, and use {{ffu talk}} to notify the requester on his/her user page. This process is explained in detail at the Reviewer instructions. Again, I appreciate that you want to help out at Files for upload, as we need all the reviewers we can get. If you have any questions, please just reply to this message. Thanks, Robert Skyhawk (T C B) 16:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

OMG we can't publish CC-BY-SA images
Re: "file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content" RTFA!!!. Ojw (talk) 21:27, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- With all respect, if you have a problem with one of my onwiki actions, that's fine by me, but please at least talk about it with me coherently and sensibly. Of course we can use CC-BY-SA images, as long as they're tagged correctly. With the source, you need to state it clearly (along with the tags). I assume that you're talking about this. I removed the non free screenshot tag, because it does state that it does not include media found on a webpage. I described this clearly in my edit summary. So at the moment, there is no clear information about the file's copyright licensce or a clear source, so this is why it is up for deletion. Also, if you are telling me to 'Read the F****** Archives', I assume you mean the file history, which doesnt explicitly state who made it or the source. If I am missing something, please tell me.Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 06:07, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) My guess is that they source is Geograph Britain and Ireland, but that still doesn't answer the copyright issue, and the site's terms seem to indicate it's copyrighted and not freely licensed, so it could probably be tagged with a generic {{Non-free fair use in}}. That said, however, It may not pass WP:NFCC#8 since it's not discussed outside of the short caption, and there's already the other screenshot directly above it in the article to demonstrate what the map looks like. Since it's still early for me I would take that to WP:NFCR if you want more (coherent) feedback on that point. VernoWhitney (talk) 11:58, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

RFPP Clerkship Discussion
I was startled to see an Endorse Protection Template at RFPP. I've been working on a proposal that is very much related, so I was initially chagrined to find that the function was already in place. Then I checked the talk page, and see that this is a very recent creation.
I mentioned your addition in my very, very draft proposal here. In fact, you are the first person I've notified.
You obviously have interest and knowledge of RFPP, so I hope you will contribute your thoughts.--SPhilbrickT 00:45, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Sphilbrick, and first of all thank you for letting me know about your proposal. I think it would be a good idea to have RFPP clerks, as the noticeboard is freqently backlogged, and it would be helpful for patrolling admins to have the clerks to review cases. I will add my ideas and thoughts to the talkpage shortly, and thanks again for informing me of this proposal. Acather96 (talk) 13:51, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

- In response to your message which pretty well coincided with one of my edits to Fir Tex, I regret that the edits don't change my opinion. It is a product hyped by its manufacturer as something special with technological innovations. None of these claims have been substantiated. No patents are alluded to. The processes claimed have no known provenance in science. Their own references from their own web-site would be laughable if they weren't meant to be serious. I suspect that it is a fairly ordinary fabric with a reflective layer that keeps in warmth. Well, there are probably hundreds of such fabrics around - have a look in an quality mountaineering clothing shop. I don't believe this article has notability, its claims have no scientific backing and they can't be verified, worse the manufacturers allude to scientific backing when none exists. If it is neither notable and cannot be verified than I guess it must be just an advertisment This smells badly of snake-oil and it would need the manufacturers to come up with some proper scientific evaluation or some credible statements before I would change my mind. Sorry. Velella Velella Talk 20:56, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Seriously?
This redirection elimination is "unconstructive"? Pointless and trivial, perhaps, but not warranting reversion. And the edit comment was explicit about the minor change being done. 67.101.7.214 (talk) 17:52, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

- I try to WP:AGF but it was a reversion accompanied by a talk page warning, one of The Scarlet Letters (so to speak). Galleons
How can you say that glleon's would not help a countries economy. Galleons where used for (if not thousands) then hundreds of years. galleons are better than modern day cargo or naval ships. (scientifically proven) and a canon on a galleon would go about 1 mile (and maybe even more) a canon goes about 900ft per secound. you can not deny the truth from the public. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.169.142.7 (talk) 18:20, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

"Copyrighted computer software screenshot."
It's exactly the same picture but a command-control-three screencap. Notice how the site's picture is in .jpg format but mine is in .png but also renamed so that I can find it. The site it's taken from is a nonprofit, educational organization anyways. I'm merely replacing pictures with links Thanks for your concern. BoredSoContributing (talk) 18:24, 29 August 2010 (UTC)BoredSoContributing
- Unfortunately, it seems you have misinterpreted the license. The {{Non-free web screenshot}} tag is only for actual screenshots of webpages (like this for example) and not for screenshots of media found on websites. I've looked at the pictures that you have uploaded from [3], and unfortunately there is no assertion on the file page that it has been released under a free license. Furthermore, on the main page, it displays a copyright notice at the bottom. Per the reasons I have given, I am going to have to tag the images for deletion. However, you could try and seek permission from the copyright holder. See this page for more info. Apologies,Acather96 (talk) 18:42, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Shoot! I missed that. Well, that's a terrible waste of time. Thanks for the notice. I'm going to have to replace pictures with links. I'm going to remove the copyright mark from some of them, though. Some of the sites that the pictures were from had no copyright. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BoredSoContributing (talk • contribs) 19:51, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) The lack of a copyright notice doesn't mean that the images aren't copyrighted. They're automatically copyrighted whenever they're published. I should also point out that using a whole lot of non-free images, regardless of source in a list article is generally not allowed under the non-free content guideline. "At present I can still see a violation of some sorts, so the article has been blanked for evaluation and closure through WP:CP. Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 14:42, 31 August 2010 (UTC)"
Of course at present you can see a violation of some sorts blah blah blah,,,, As in my experience, once you guys get your mind set on the CR issue, you just wont let go no matter what an editor acting in good faith does,,, so go ahead....be my guest, have your way. I have more important things for my time than wasting it with you. Ah, and one more thing, don't bother writing back on my page,,,it will be deleted without even reading it in a flash.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mercy11 (talk • contribs)
- So much for assuming good faith. If there is a dispute, why not discuss it politely rather than come out with all guns blazing? Meanwhile, I will be watching this situation. Rodhullandemu 00:19, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
How very rude. I was looking through listings at SCV, and when I compared your article with the source CorenSearchBot had identified, there was a match (not blatant, but still a match & paraphrase problem). I then, in accordance with policy, 'blanked for evaluation and closure through WP:CP'. I didn't have any special agenda, I saw a possible copyright violation, and marked it for investigation. I then left a note (which you have subsequently deleted, I don't know why), as I thought you were an established editor I done this instead of templating (WP:DTTR). Wikipedia does take copyright violations very seriously, so maybe this is why you think what you do about us 'guys'. I echo Rodhullandemu comments, and strongly recommend you read and adhere to WP:CIVIL before participating in discussions. And lastly, whats the point of posting a comment if you wont read the response? Regards,Acather96 (talk) 15:04, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- Polite discussions do nothing when dealing with the CR guillotine-wielders: everything is attributed to the almighty C/R, leaving no room for those of us with an honest desire to become compliant. Of course my preference would had been to work with you guys -- nothing more satisfying than a win-win -- but I am convinced without the equivalent of a sort of "contract with America" any dealings with the CR-violations group is an exercise in futility. The group is osfuscated with the "WP takes CR violations very seriously" motto, while ignoring honest attempts from editors like me to remove the violation. I still propose we leave it at that, and we both go our own separate ways. Mercy11 (talk) 16:03, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Stulladium
Hi Acather96,
I am looking for some help getting a recently trade marked, patent pending alloy on the Wiki works. It is not long are what I would consider difficult. below is my information. Can you help? Thanks! John Butler--Superalloydude 03:12, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Stulladium
Stulladium is a trademarked, patent pending, alloy offered by Stuller, Inc of South Louisiana ( stuller.com ). It has over 75% precious metal and would nicely fit the niche area of pricing between sterling silver and 10K gold. It is considered a European friendly alloy having no Nickel.
Invented by John Butler (john_butler@stuller.com) of Research & Development at Stuller, who had the idea to bring something to market between 10 karat and Sterling in price, while maintaining all the character and nostalgia of higher end jewelry alloys.
The alloy has grade 1 white color,
Its mechanical properties closely resemble those of typical golds and it can be worked at the bench like any typical 14kt gold. Stones can be set effortlessly including bezel setting and micro-pave work. It can be finished easily and polishes to a high luster.
The alloy can be for used both casting and rolling. Another nice character is reversible hardness.
Physical Properties: Color - Grade 1 white Density - 10.4 g/cc Melt Range (°F): 1640 – 1660
Mechanical Properties: Annealed Hardness (HV) – 150 Age Hardened (HV) - 245 Ultimate Tensile Strength (psi) – 68,890 Yield Strength (psi) – 26,200 Elongation (%) - 29
Annealing: 1400°F for 20 minutes followed by immediate quench in water.
Age Hardening: Solution anneal - 1400°F for 40 minutes followed by immediate water quench. Age harden - 700°F for 30 minutes, no special cooling requirements
Cold working considerations: Stulladium can be worked much like typical 14kt nickel white alloys. Solution anneal ascast ingots prior to cold working. Maximum recommended total reduction during cold working is 60%.
Investment Casting Recommendations:
Similar to that of karat gold alloy.
Mold Material: Typical calcium sulfate bonded investment.
Approximate Flask Temperatures (Range/Guideline)
Filigree: 1150 – 1200 F Light: 1050 – 1150 F Medium: 900 – 1000 F Heavy: 750 – 850 F
Approximate Melt Temperatures: We usually recommend a superheat of 100°F to 150°F above the melting point of the alloy. Therefore the set temperature point in your casting machine should be: Filigree: 1850 F Light: 1800 F Medium: 1775 F Heavy: 1750 F
Inert Gas Protective Cover: When melting in casting equipment we recommend an inert gas, such as argon, be used as a protective cover.
Recommended Quenching of Cast Mold: Quench in water just after the red glow has left the button.
Reuse/Replenishing: For reuse a 60% fresh to 40% scrap ratio is recommended. Cleaned scrap should be re-grained for reuse. Buttons and rods should be free of investment and other contaminants.
Graining Instructions: When melting during the graining operation we recommend that you use a thick protective cover of boric acid over the melt surface if your casting equipment allows it.

- Hi Tanavanjohn and welcome to Wikipedia :). Two pointers for you to consider :
- WP:COI You shouldn't write about things that you are closely affiliated with.
- WP:GNG When you write about something, you have to make sure that it is notable, and you can do that by using reliable sources
Finally, the material you provided doesn't really resemble an encyclopedic article. To help you out there, you may wish to model you article around an existing article on an alloy, like this for example. Thanks, hope this helps:) Acather96 (talk) 14:47, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
About Articles for deletion nomination of Ellen Adarna
Ellen Adarna is famous in Philippines and also in the Internet. I have not done writing her information that would be called my work, I have just getting some information about her modeling on a magazine "Uno Magazine", so please give me time to rearrange and fix all the detail that i have done.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dukman (talk • contribs)
- Two things :). First you may wish to comment in the deletion debate yourself, this is fine as long as you make it clear that you are the creator of the page. Secondly, if the page is deleted, you can get a copy restored to your userspace or emailed to you by requesting it at WP:RFUD. From then, you could then work on and re-submit the article. Could I suggest that, if the article is deleted and you create a new version, that you submit the new version through WP:AFC first :). Thanks,Acather96 (talk) 14:31, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much
Just wanted to say thank you very much for your help regarding my conflict, I'm very grateful that you took the trouble to assist me. Thank you again Elland1 (talk) 20:13, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks againElland1 (talk) 20:22, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
