WrestleMania 22 is a forthcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view event, scheduled to take place on April 2, 2006 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. It will be the twenty-second annual WrestleMania pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment, and the third to take place in Chicago, Illinois (along with WrestleMania 13 and a portion of WrestleMania 2).

WWE claimed that tickets for the event sold out in less than two minutes after going on sale at 10:00 A.M. (CDT) on October 15, 2005.

Matches are expected to be announced throughout early 2006. Although, as of January 2006, no matches have been announced. Rey Mysterio, the winner of the 2006 Royal Rumble, will likely take part in a match for either the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship (this has been the case with every WrestleMania event since 1993, with the exception of WrestleMania 13 and WrestleMania XV). However, Mysterio has placed his title shot on the line against Randy Orton to be held at No Way Out 2006. If the winner of the match chooses to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion, the Number 1 contender who will face the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 22 will be decided by a tournament featuring Triple H, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Kane, Chris Masters, Rob Van Dam and Carlito. In addition, 2006 inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame will likely be announced in the weeks preceding the event.

A promotional video for WrestleMania 22 which aired during WrestleMania 21 represented the "22" in the form of Roman numerals (XXII), and used the bodega sans font used in the logos of WrestleMania X-Seven to WrestleMania 21. In a WWE advertisement for Wrestlemania travel packages, a second logo was shown, which was similar to the one shown in the promotional video but with a different color scheme, and using Arabic numerals instead of Roman numerals.

A third logo was later released that used Arabic numerals and the same font that was used in the logos of the first fifteen WrestleMania events.

The official theme song for WrestleMania 22 is "Big Time" by Peter Gabriel.
