Rushmere had been established as [[Fisons]] F.C. in 1948, but had been made homeless after their parent company sold their ground to [[Ipswich Town F.C.|Ipswich Town]] to use as a training ground in 1993. The club was renamed Ramsomes Sports in 1997. In 1998–99 they finished runners-up in Division Two, and were promoted to Division One. ==Stadium==
The club initially played at Dickson's Meadow, before moving to Brunnings Meadow, both of which are now part of [[Framlingham College]]. They later moved to the Red House Farm and then Hayning's Field in 1932. In 1951 they moved to their current ground on Badingham Road.

Ransomes Sports Football Club is an English football club based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The club are currently members of the Suffolk & Ipswich League Senior Division and play at the Ransomes and Reavell Sports Club Ground.

History

The original Ransomes F.C. were the works team of the Ransomes engineering company. They played in the Suffolk & Ipswich League, and won the Suffolk Senior Cup in 1979 and 1981.
