The system's cable-only A Atlantic service in Atlantic Canada does not produce its own A News programming, but instead airs newscasts from the CTV Atlantic system, although the station does produce a local morning show, Breakfast Television. The A station in Ottawa no longer airs any A News programming, although it continues to produce a local morning show, A Morning.

Ottawa
A News on CHRO-TV in Ottawa was anchored by Sandra Blaikie weekdays at 6, Tony Grace weeknights at 11 and Annette Goerner on weekends. A spinoff version of A News called A News This Week aired Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. and recapped the week's news.
These newscasts were cancelled on March 3, 2009, as a result of what CTV calls severe financial issues with the A stations, although the Ottawa station continues to broadcast A Morning.[1] CHRO was the only A station (unlike the A station in Wingham which was scheduled to shut down entirely) to have its evening newscasts cancelled; the stations in Barrie, London and Victoria kept their evening newscasts but instead lost their morning shows. The likely reason for this is that, unlike the other A markets, there is also a CTV network station in Ottawa, CJOH-TV also owned by CTVglobemedia, which has dominated the local evening news ratings for years.
London/Windsor
A News on CFPL-TV in London is anchored by Dan MacLellan weekdays at 6, and Tara Overholt at 11. There is a weekend half-hour edition of the program, anchored by Derek Rogers. CHWI-TV in Windsor has a separate weekday newscast anchored by Jim Crichton, but simulcasts the London edition on weekends. A spinoff version of A News called A News This Week airs Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. and recaps the week's top stories.
Until 2009, CKNX-TV in Wingham aired a simulcast of almost all of CFPL London's newscasts with the exception of the 11 p.m. weeknight newscast in which CKNX aired a separate news feed which was also produced at the CFPL London studios. Due to the 2009 economic crisis, CTV closed down CKNX Wingham as of August 31, 2009, in which the station's transmitter was converted to a rebroadcaster of CFPL London, viewers in that area continue to receive newscasts from CFPL London, although CKNX no longer airs a separate 11 p.m. weeknight news feed as a result.
