Lara Meyerratken is an Australian multi-instrumentalist musician who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Lara is most commonly associated with her long time collaborator Ben Lee.[1]

Meyerratken is a notable session musician and songwriter. Artists she has performed or recorded with included Luscious Jackson, Crooked Fingers,[2] Luna,[3] Via Tania, Sneeze, Clem Snide and Nada Surf.

Her song "Hero" was included in the soundtrack of the 2005 movie The Baxter.[4] She was in 2005 also the winner of the ARIA Cover Art award.[5]

Meyerratken performs her own music under the name El May.[6]
