Durrell Summers (born April 2, 1989) is an American college basketball player for the Michigan State Spartans. Durrell has a tattoo of "Summer" on one arm and "Time" on the other, an ode to his nickname, "Summertime". He is known for his leaping ability and can often be seen in games running down the court calling for alley-oop slam dunks. Summers had a career game on January 1st, 2009 against Ohio State. Shooting 6/9 from the three point line and 8/14 in field goals, Summers came out with a total of 26 points to help lead Michigan State over the Buckeyes. His senior year in high school, Summers was averaging 34.5 points a game, 16.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals. Durrell Summers is majoring in Sociology.
