Among [[progressive rock]] fans, their entire [[1970s]] output is helt high in regard, but particularly the [[Darwin!]] ([[1972]]), [[Banco del Mutuo Soccorso]] ([[1972]]), [[Io Sono Nato Libero]] ([[1973]], [[Come in un Ultima Cena]] ([[1975]]) and [[Di Terra]] ([[1978]]).

The [[1980s]] saw their musical direction change towards lighter [[pop]], before they in the [[1990s]] started playing their [[1970s]] material again.

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso Italian rock band having its origins in the spread of progressive rock from Britain to the continent in the 1970s. First recorded in 1972, with Ricordi. Still active (2006). Has recorded 25 LP's and CD's.

The record Darwin! (1972) is currently famed in experimental/progressive rock circles for being voted the best record ever on the web site Gnosis, from 53,000 candidate records.

Among progressive rock fans, their entire 1970s output is helt high in regard, but particularly the Darwin! (1972), Banco del Mutuo Soccorso (1972), Io Sono Nato Libero (1973, Come in un Ultima Cena (1975) and Di Terra (1978).

The 1980s saw their musical direction change towards lighter pop, before they in the 1990s started playing their 1970s material again.
