Nestoras Mitidis (born June 1, 1991) is a Cypriot footballer who currently plays for AEK Larnaca as a striker. His potential was quickly identified by AEK Academies and during the 2009-10 season, he was promoted to the first team. His breakthrough season was in the 2010–11 season, where he scored his first professional goal and also debuted for the Cyprus national football team on November 16, 2010.

Career

Mitidis began playing football at a young age and after the arrival of Andreas Michaelides, he progressed to the first team, that was playing at Cyprus Second Division during the 2009-10 season, and had two apperances, helping the team promote back to First Division.

In the 2010–11 season, Ton Caanen established Mitidis as a regular first team player, and on November 13, 2010, he scored his first senior goal of his career, with a fantastic shot on 85th minute against Ermis Aradippou, which gave the victory to AEK Larnaca [1].

International Career

Mitidis outstanding performances caught the eye of Angelos Anastasiadis who called him to the Cyprus national football team when he was only 19 years old[2]. In November 16, 2010, he debuted for Cyprus, playing in a friendly match against Jordan as substitution on 64th minute[3].
