Cottus petiti, also called the chub of the Lez (Chabot du Lez, in French),[1] is a species of fish in the Cottidae family.[2] It is endemic to France, found only in a small 3 km stretch of the Lez River.[3] Its natural habitat consits of rivers and freshwater springs, which are threatened by habitat loss. The males of this species are typically 56 cm in length.
