In that case I think we can safely dismiss your statement that it is pronounced "Awnna" and not go on a search for confirmation. The first syllable in her name either rhymes with "can" or with "con" (both of which are typical pronunciations; nothing unexpected about it at all). The first syllable does not rhyme with "lawn" (as you suggested with "Awnna"). Even your own examples are inconsistent. "Onna" is not pronounced the same as "Awnna". Lots of people named Anna say it as "Onna", but never "Awnna". People mispronounce and mishear things quite easily. I don't know whether the person on the DVD mispronounced, or whether you misheard, but her name is not said "Awnna". [[User:Cresix|Cresix]] ([[User talk:Cresix|talk]]) 02:12, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

The last name of Anna Faris sounds kind of Middle Eastern. Is she of Syrian or Lebanese decent? If anybody knows the ancestry of Anna Faris, please post.

She is not Middle Eastern. I asked her parents about it a year ago and thats what they told me. (Todd C. -- Webmaster of The Ultimate Anna Faris Experience)

That is a very neat and informative website you made of her. You sure seemed to have put in a lot of work. =)

She is a britey spears lookalike

^ Not really. Zetco 03:08, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

she was brunnete in scary movie and scary movie 2 and man did i have the hotts for her! but shes a natural blonde and still hot.

She's a natrual blonde, so the odds of her being middle eastern are pretty slim. Faris is a German name. Also, whoever posted that picture of her should be shot. It's horrible. Somebody upload a better one! Shawn Crapo (talk) 19:48, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think her cameo in Malcolm in the Middle should be noted. If others are not familiar, it is the one where Hal is remembering waht he was doing when he met the different bosses he had. Anna played one of the boss' children, who Hal accidently hurt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.81.117.92 (talk) 22:20, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Four of the bio items in the article are sourced from her IMDb biography. This is not considered a reliable source and need to have more reliable sourcing found. Wildhartlivie (talk) 01:40, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Official Website

Link gives at bottom for official site (annafaris.com) sounds dubious. The site mentions copyright at bottom as : The Ultimate Anna Faris Experience a.k.a TUAFE is © Todd & Fred. It does not appear to be official Anna Faris site. Please someone verify and update it. SaturnineMind (talk) 13:19, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thanks. Cresix (talk) 01:09, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Role in Brokeback Mountain.

'Her Role in Brokeback Mountain brought her to the attention of a wider audience'. The comment seems unreasonable as Ms Feris could not have appeared in the film for more than 3 minutes. In fact, such a talented actress appearing for so short a time was noteworthy.Johnwrd (talk) 05:06, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree. I agree she's talented, but prior to Brokeback she was noted primarily for one character in the Scary Movie series. The Brokeback role, though not major, presented her as a more versatile actress. Cresix (talk) 22:56, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Onna

Her first name is unexpectedly pronounced Awnna, with a long initial vowel. Could someone find a decent citation for that, and provide a note? Varlaam (talk) 23:17, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uh ... what's your source for that tidbit? Cresix (talk) 23:28, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I always thought it was Anna, the normal way. Haven't you ever heard DVD commentary tracks where they mention her? For these directors, actors, whatever, it's always Onna. It's consistent. I might even have heard one once where someone says explicitly, "She pronounces it Onna."
It appears to be legitimate, therefore she should have mentioned it in a magazine interview at some point, until they got bored of asking.
