Daniel von Bargen (born June 5, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American film, stage, and television actor.
He played the Sheriff in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou, the Chief of Police in the movie [Super Troopers]], and Commandant Edwin Spangler in the TV comedy Malcolm in the Middle. Von Bargen also played Kruger, George's boss at Kruger Industrial Smoothing, on the final season of Seinfeld, appearing in the famous Festivus episode.
