Hawthorne Heights is a melodic/post hardcore band that formed in Dayton, Ohio in June of 2001. The band was originally known as "A Day In The Life" but changed its name as its music and lineup also changed. JT Woodruff is the frontman on vocals and guitar, Matt Ridenour is on bass, Eron Bucciarelli on drums, and Casey Calvert and Micah Carli on guitar.

Album Release History
Hawthorne Heights released an album entitled "The Silence in Black and White" in 2004 on Victory. The song "Ohio is for Lovers", which was released as their first major single, was at one point bundled in .mp3 format with Winamp. Another version of this album, "The Silence in Black and White: Limited Edition", was released with 7 bonus tracks and a DVD.
The band has recently finished recording their second album, "If Only You Were Lonely", which is scheduled for release on February 28, 2006. This album also features two separate covers, a man and a woman sleeping alone in their beds. The lead single for the second album is "Saying Sorry."
