Michael Le Vell (real name Michael Turner) (born 15 December 1964 in Newton Heath, Manchester)[1] is an English character actor, who since 1983 has played the role of garage mechanic, Kevin Webster, in the soap opera Coronation Street.[1]
He also played a paper boy Neil Grimshaw in 12 episodes of Coronation Street in 1981, two years before he got the role of Kevin Webster.
TV appearances
Besides starring in the long-running soap Coronation Street, Le Vell has also appeared on several gameshow programmes; some include an appearance on Challenge TV's Showbiz Darts in October 2006, where he went on to win the tournament[citation needed] , and he has also featured as a contestant on the second series of Gameshow Marathon[1] on which he was crowned Gameshow Marathon champion on 26 May 2007.[citation needed]
