FATHERS AND SONS is a double album by Muddy Waters and was released in 1969. The album was recorded at Chess Studios Recorders in Chicago and Live on Jamboree in Chicago some days after. Muddy Waters assembled a group of highly respected musicians for the album recording sessions : some old black bluesmen ('Fathers') and some young blues musicians ('Sons') including guitarist Mike Bloomfield, Otis Spann and Buddy Miles on live section. The double LP album was a large success amoung the white young blues fan. Fathers and Sons has been reissued on CD with uniussed takes.
