Burlesque (genre)

Hi. I see that you were the original person who created the article on Victorian theatrical burlesque [Burlesque (genre)], as distinguished from modern striptease burlesque. I see that someone has now merged the Burlesque (genre) article into Burlesque. See this. I missed that there had been a merge proposal, but I disagree with this merge. Here is what Burlesque (genre) looked like before the merge. Would you kindly look into this and comment here? Thanks for taking a look and commenting either way. If the combined article drops no text or illustrations and incorporates added text examining the extension of "burlesque" to include its modern connotations, that would be a genuinely encyclopedic treatment.--Wetman (talk) 04:11, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
