Greetings, ApolloCreed, and welcome to Wikipedia. It's good to see new folks showing an interest in the place and wanting to improve the articles. Thanks for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

If you have any questions, feel free to drop by my talk page and ask. I'll do my best to provide you with an answer. If you're more of a "research it yourself" type, there's always Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. The Help Desk is also a good place for info.

Whenever you leave a comment on someone's talk page or on the Help Desk page or whatever, remember to sign your name. You do this by typing four tildes (~~~~) in a row at the end of your comments or questions. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome to Wikipedia.

Mumford

Hi there... just so you know, I'm going to have to delete Mumford's pic. It was actually not a screenshot, but a photo for the book Sesame Street Unpaved. Unless we can prove that it was also a press photo at one point, it's not a useable picture for Wikipedia. Thanks anyway, for trying to find a pic. -- user:zanimum

Thinks for telling me why you deleted my Mumford image. Do you think this image would be acceptable? It's from this page, which details the "Breaking News" Kermit the Frog segments from the Muppet Show.
This image of Mumford is clearer, but I'm less certain it is a screenshot from a TV show. That pic came from this page. -- ApolloCreed 19:38, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Apollo, I'm uploading the second, simply because we have nothing to tell us it isn't a screenshot, so we can easily claim innocence. -- user:zanimum

No problem

I've done it before I've seen it 3 times tonight already. Happy to help. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 04:47, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I should make it clear that I've left a welcome message on a user page before lol KnowledgeOfSelf | talk. 04:48, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the Welcoming Committee

Thanks for signing up. You're right about making your welcomes personal. If we wanted to put the same welcome template on every user talk page, we wouldn't need a human welcoming committee. Welcoming is about quality, not quantity. Some users use {{welcome}} like crazy to try to increase their edit count, but I think we should concentrate on helping out those new users who have shown that they're actually interested in helping us. Our main goal shouldn't be to put space-fillers on their talk pages, but to make them feel appreciated and to answer their questions about Wikipedia. I find it helpful to recommend Wikipedia:WikiProjects and regional notice boards based upon their first contributions. If you have any other ideas, siggest them at Wikipedia talk:Welcoming committee. Have fun welcoming new users. --TantalumTelluride 02:50, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, was wondering if you were interested in joining WikiProject AFL? Rogerthat 10:25, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Careful

Thanks for trimming the list of TV shows, but I noticed that you removed a few that did not have a infobox. Some of the articles like A League of Their Own actually covered the movie and not the television show. Additionally Adam-12 and Adam Adamant Lives! which you removed do not have infoboxes. I really appreciate your work, but please be careful when removing items from the list. Best of luck --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 20:23, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I should be more careful as well! Thanks for reply and working on the list! --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 15:33, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: HTML vs Wiki Markup

I DO use wiki markup but I am comfortable using HTML and since I read that it is allowed then what does it really matter what I use. I noticed in the link you posted that for some items like underline or strikeout it uses HTML in the example of how to do these things so seems to me HTML is acceptable. Plus the HTML tags look more 'cleaner' to me than a whole bunch of apostrophes do, but that his just me. Thanks for the suggestions but I think I will continue using a mix of wiki and HTML. Caution

Please be careful to distinguish more carefully between Dominica and the Dominican Republic. You added {{DominicanRepublic-geo-stub}} the List of national parks of Dominica, which is nice, but that stub class is for the Dominican Republic, not Dominica. I've corrected it to {{Caribbean-geo-stub}}, but just I'd make sure you're aware that the 2 are separate countries, 1,000 miles apart. Tomertalk 08:15, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

copyvios

great work here [1] however as the article is under 7 days old it meets the critera for speedy deletion which can be done by typing in {{db|copyvio, url}}, this will get it deleted faster, happy editing. feel free to ask any quiestions via my talk page :)Benon 01:13, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ahh thats changed it must be 48 hours, it used to be a week (shows ow long it is since i tagged a copyvio lol) Benon 01:22, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the fix, I must have mistyped there. GRuban 15:09, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big Spring, TX

Though it wasn't obvious, the anon user did make an effort to paraphrase the previous copyvio section. Was it not paraphrased enough, or did you not notice that it was paraphrased? OhNoitsJamieTalk 01:29, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on that summary of reverts on the Big Springs article. That guy just doesn't get it. OhNoitsJamieTalk 03:40, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

substing

Please do not substitute project notices, It's annoying and counter productive. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 12:00, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Herb Brooks Article

Why do you feel the Herb Brooks article needs sections? Articles of such short length don'nt necessarily need to be cluttered with sections. PLease let me know, or no.--Gephart 17:36, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
