Gothic?

Could the 'double' relationship between O'Brien and Winston be due to Orwell showing a Gothic influence? They are presented as polar opposites, and explicit mention is made of their apparent symbiosis (or at least Winston's perception of it.) --81.159.161.115 (talk) 22:41, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
