The airport is owned and operated by Markham Airport Inc. and owned by a numbered Ontario company owned by the [[Thomson Corporation|Thomson family]] of [[Toronto]]. The airport is not part of the [[Greater Toronto Airport Authority]]. The airport consists of a single {{convert|2013|ft|abbr=on|0}} runway for small and private aircraft only (with night flying capabilities). ==Facilities==

There are eight structures located at the entrance of the airfield. Most are trailer home type of structures. Some structures are classrooms used by tenant flight school Canadian Flyer International.

The airport tarmac is also home to a few aircraft from the defunct Canadian Air, Land and Sea Museum. They were formerly used by the [[Canadian Forces]]:
