Ben Allan (born October 10, 1968) is an Australian rules footballer.
Hawthorn career
He played as a rover (or follower). He was a Claremont player in the WAFL before moving to the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League where he played 98 games and won their Best and Fairest in 1991 as well as a premiership. He was an All Australian player in 1993 and 1994.
Fremantle career
In Fremantle he was the Dockers inaugural Captain and has played 145 AFL games in total. His 1997 season was wrecked by injury and he retired.
Coaching stint
In 2001 he became the caretaker coach after the mid-season sacking of Damian Drum.
Current
In 2005 he was elected to the Members position on the board of the Fremantle Football Club, He'll hold that position for 2 years before all Season Ticket holding Fremantle members over 18 years vote again.
