Captain Barbell (2006) |
Captain Barbell is an upcoming superhero Philippine drama adapted from Mars Ravelo's fictional superhero of the same name; directed by Mac Alejandre and developed by Jake Tordesillas. It is the second series based on the graphic novels by Mars Ravelo. It stars Richard Gutierrez, who reprises the role of the title role and its alter-ego Enteng,[2] after playing him in the 2006 series.
Production
The show was planned to be part of GMA's 2010 Telebabad roster of shows but was postponed, along with Encantadia: The Second Saga because other TV projects were made. There were several leading ladies linked to Richard Gutierrez until the final chosen leading ladies were Solenn Heusaff, Lovi Poe and Sam Pinto. It is still unknown if Rhian Ramos will reprise her role as Leah Lazaro, Gutierrrez's love interest in the previous Captain Barbell. The show will use HD Cameras, as GMA plans to use HD cameras from last quarter of 2010 onwards.
