NationalityGerman
Periodclassical Middle High German

Thomasin von Zirclaere (or Thomasin von Zerclaere) (ca. 1186 – ca. 1245) was a German medieval German writer.

He was a disciple of bishop Wolfger of Erla (as were Walther von der Vogelweide and Albrecht von Johansdorf).

The text Der Wälsche Gast ("The Italian Visitor") is the only known work by him. The title refers to himself, as his mother tongue was Italian. The poem has over 14.000 lines.
