Liana Daine Liberato (born August 20, 1995 in Galveston, Texas) is a young American television and film actress. She starred in the Fox Faith film The Last Sin Eater and recently appeared in the House episode "It's a Wonderful Lie". She was featured in the cover story of the June 4, 2006 issue of The New York Times Magazine titled "Hollywood Elementary" with her friend Hannah Marks.[1]
Biography
When Liana was 3, her mother enrolled her in Broadway Bound, a musical theater so that she "wouldn't be afraid in front of people." Seven years later, she performed in its show Guys & Dolls. Her first TV role was in an episode of Cold Case, followed shortly by an episode of CSI: Miami, and then an episode of the short-lived series The Inside. She was also in a commercial for the Seppälä clothing chain during that time.
Liana's first significant role came in "Galveston: The Musical" when she was 7. In the summer of 2005, she attended a weeklong acting camp in California, where she attracted the attention of Central Artists. Charmed by Liana's "great charisma and a very natural delivery," the agent asked Liana to travel to Hollywood. She soon got roles on Cold Case and CSI: Miami.
In 2007, Liana played the lead role of "Cadi Forbes" in the Fox feature film, The Last Sin Eater. She starred alongside Louise Fletcher and Henry Thomas in the tale of a 10-year-old girl who discovers a secret sin haunting her community of Welsh immigrants in 1850s Appalachia.[2]
In 2008, Liana starred as Jane, the daughter of the patient, in the show House MD, and she can be seen in Miley Cyrus' music video for "7 Things" of her hit album Breakout.
She has appeared twice as the character Tristen Oswald in the series Sons of Anarchy, once in 2008 and once in 2009.
In 2010 she starred in Trust, where she played Annie Cameron, a 14-year-old girl victimized by an online sexual predator. Veteran actors Clive Owen and Catherine Keener played her parents. The film was David Schwimmer's second foray into directing[3] Liberato won a Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film at the 46th Chicago International Film Festival.
