Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you. --IllaZilla (talk) 23:09, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See my response at Talk:Jimmy Eat World#Pop Rock/Emo Label. Whether a band likes or dislikes the genres they are associated with is irrelevant. What's relevant is that secondary sources (journalists, music critics, etc.) have associated them with that genre. If bands got to decide what genres they could & couldn't be called, they'd all just be "rock". --IllaZilla (talk) 06:49, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
