Judith Herrin (born 1942) is Professor of Late Antique and Byzantine studies at King's College London. She studied history at the University of Cambridge and did her PhD at the University of Birmingham. She trained in Paris and Munich, worked as an archaeologist with the British School at Athens and on the site of Kalenderhane Mosque in Istanbul as a fellow of Dumbarton Oaks. She was Stanley J. Seeger Professor in Byzantine History, Princeton University (1991-95) before moving to King's.
