Tanya Michelle Beyer (born June 4, 1971 in St. Paul, Minnesota)[1] is an American model. She was chosen as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for February 1992 and has appeared in numerous Playboy videos.
Early life
Beyer attended Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the school's homecoming queen in 1989.[2]
Modeling career and Playboy
Beyer began modeling for a small agency in Colorado while still in high school. After she turned 18, she started working as a model in such countries as Italy, Greece, Taiwan, and Japan.[3]
At the age of 20, she was selected to be a Playboy Playmate centerfold model and was featured in the magazine's February 1992 issue.[3] Between 1992 and 1994, she was also featured in several Playboy Special Editions[4] and video releases.[5]
Beyer also appeared in the 1998 video release Iron & Lace 1: The Making of the Calendar, a behind-the-scenes documentary about the photographing of the motorcycle-themed pin-up calendar.
Arrest on drug charges
On March 24, 2010, Beyer surrendered to the Palm Beach, Florida Sheriff on felony charges of oxycodone trafficking and withholding information from a practitioner. She had eluded the police for six months.[6] The Palm Beach authorities had declared her a fugitive on October 7, 2009, using the Palm Beach Crime Stoppers program to get public help with apprehending her.[7] Beyer pled guilty to unspecified charges in the case on September 30, 2010.[8] She was released for time served from the Palm Beach County Jail on December 12, 2010.[9]
