Kodad

Kodad or Kodada (Template:Te) is a town and Mandal headquarters in the Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh, South India. It is located on the National Highway 9 between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

It has the rich resources of Limestone minerals. It has the highest number of cement manufacturing units. Kodad is just 100 km from the famous Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir. It is the major educational destination in the region. It has 9 engineering colleges (still counting) and around 60 schools. Kodad also has couple of corporate schools.

Kodad has many industries, mainly cement factories, rice mills, tractor mechanical and Spare parts development small scale industries close by which help the local economy. Kodada has also the market famous for the availability of hybrid buffaloes,cows...it is one of the famous markets held on every Sunday.

Kodad have mixed culture of Andhra and Telangana as it is on the border of Telangana and Andhra regions.
