Jeremy Kyle, (a.k.a. Jezza) was born 1965.

Professional life

He began his broadcasting career in 1996 on Kent's Invicta FM, followed by a short spell at Orchard FM. In 1997, he joined Birmingham's BRMB, presenting 'Late & Live' every Sunday - Friday from 10pm - 1am. He also presented Jezza's Jukebox.

He used to mention regularly on air in his programme on BRMB how his girlfriend cheated on him with a good friend while his young daughter was sleeping in the same room.

In 2000, Jezza moved to the Century FM network, taking this format with him and, on 1st July 2002, he made his first broadcast on Virgin Radio, presenting 'Jezza's Virgin Confessions' every weekday 8pm - Midnight. In mid 2003 he broadcast the show from 9pm - 1am every weekday and, in January 2004, the show went out 10pm - 1am Sunday - Thursday.

The beginning of June 2004 saw his disappearance from the Virgin Radio airwaves. Rumour mills immediately went into action. Amongst the various rumours, it was suggested he was axed due to the unknown content of a show telephone call on 31st May 2004; others suggest he went as part of a summer clearout.

Jeremy is now a British television presenter who also works on radio with Confessions on Capital FM. He also has been on Virgin Radio and hosts his own controversial TV show on ITV 1. Some critics argue that he simply uses buzzwords and popular sentences that carry no real weight in order to try and solve peoples problems; others contest that actual useful suggestions and comments are made.

He has proved very popular with day time TV viewers and he comfortably achieved higher ratings than his predecessor Trisha Goddard's show on five. So convincing were Kyle's head-to-head ratings that in late 2005 Trisha had her morning talkshow moved to a different timeslot because it was unable to compete.

In July 2004, Capital Radio announced it had signed Jezza to present the Confessions show on London's Capital FM from 5th September 2004. The new programme, part of Capital Radio's "modern radio for modern London" policy, was introduced by the station's Managing Director Keith Pringle, and aired from Sunday to Thursday 10pm - 1am including live calls on relationship issues of all kinds.

Capital Confessions came to an end on 22nd December 2005 with Jezza, Lucy and Avid having a large party to celebrate years of calls and good times.

Jeremy currently hosts the Jeremy Kyle Show, replacing Jerry Springer who devised the programme, on daytime ITV.

He also presents 'The Jeremy Kyle Show', which airs on Sundays 9pm to midnight on Capital Radio. It is London's most "compelling talk radio show" with celebrity guest and interviews.

Family life

Jeremy is now married for the second time having had children by both his wives. Jeremy's brother is a manager of the New Zealand National Ballet.

The Jeremy Kyle Drinking Game

The Jeremy Kyle Drinking game uses basic rules based on Jeremy's catchphrases (see below), allowing that a single shot or two fingers worth of beer must be drunk when a catchphrase is said. A glass is placed in the center of the room also and, whenever Jeremy mentions either his brother or his ex-girlfriend or daughter, everyone must add a portion of their drink to the central glass. On the occasion when Jeremy uses the phrase "Somebody think of the kids"/"There are children involved here" or words to that effect, the group must do an activity. The last person to complete the task must then drink from the glass in the center of the room.
