"The April 1999 cover of Rolling Stone featured Spears lying on her bed, clad with a bra, shorts and an open top."

The correct word is "lying". Someone can lay (place) something on a bed, but a person lies on the bed. This is, unfortunately, a very common error--but an error nonetheless. 71.48.201.195 (talk) 23:56, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
