Patricio Pablo Pérez (born June 27, 1985, in Ciudadela) is an Argentine football midfielder who is currently a free agent.

Biography

Argentina

Pérez began his career at Vélez Sársfield in 2002. In 2005 he moved on loan to Mexican club León, but returned to Argentina shortly afterward. In 2007 he was loaned to Chilean side Everton. After another two loans at Chacarita and San Martín de Tucumán respectively, Pérez left Vélez Sársfield and signed permanently for Defensa y Justicia in the second division.

Australia

In June 2010, Pérez signed a 2-year deal with Australian A-League club, Central Coast Mariners.[1] Perez made his first start for the club in a pre-season friendly against A-League rivals Melbourne Victory.[2]

His competitive debut came on 28 August in an A-league match against local rivals Sydney FC. His performance was impressive,[3] with Perez winning and converting an equalizing penalty. His debut was marred by allegations of diving and a controversial two-match ban.[4][5][6][7]

On 23 March, 2011, Central Coast Mariners agreed to release Perez from the final year of his contract on compassionate grounds. It was revealed by both the player and the club that his exit was due to homesickness. [8]

Portugal

In 31 May 2011, Pérez signed a 2-year deal with Portuguese LIGA ZON SAGRES club, Sporting Lisbon
