Why are we revdelling the vandalism?

From what I've heard, Ifft has asked his fans to go and edit Wikipedia to say he has AIDS. Technically WP:REVDEL says that it is covered by RD2 or RD3. But if someone has actively solicited the vandalism, it doesn't seem within the spirit of WP:REVDEL, Oversight or WP:BLP policies to revdel these. Ifft can hardly come back and say "hey, there's edits in my page history that say I have AIDS". Revdel needs to be applied pretty sparingly, and I think this may be going too far.
