Article needs to be merged

This article just duplicates much of the first few sections of the Christian City Church article. The repeated content should either be removed from that article, or this article should be deleted. I would propose that the detailed content about them in the CCC article should be moved to here - normally most church leaders would not want so much material about themselves up-front in an article on their church. Following sterling work by anon User:203.46.255.180, my comment above is no longer relevant. --Halsteadk 19:44, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Writing style

Assuming this article stays, the style is too POV and there are a lot of non-encyclopedic sentences. The lack of hyperlinking still suggests this article's roots in copy+pasted text. What is the point of parts like the second sentence of: "In 1980 the Pringle family moved to Sydney to establish the Oxford Falls Christian Church. The church has grown significantly in that time" - of course it has grown significantly, it didn't exist in 1980 if it was "established" then! Halsteadk 21:54, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • There is nothing POV about that statement, growth from 12 to 6000 could hardly be described as anything other then significant. I used that word to avoid using anything I thought would be considered POV as I consider the word significant to be fairly neutral. To not include a statement about the churches growth would be considered POV in my opinion. Perhaps the wording could be changed margionally to make the statement more readable. user:russellocarroll

Phil Pringle and CCCOF may not mind, but this page is largely a copy of the one at http://www.ccc.org.au/default.asp?page=PAXaboutpp and therefore probably violates their copyright.

This is not good enough in itself - they must be happy for the text to be re-edited and unattributed to them.Halsteadk 22:31, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced allegations

There are several examples of allegations and other statements that need citing, in one paragraph in particular but also elsewhere. I have tried to tag each of these, and I believe the lack of references is significant enough to warrant tagging the entire article. Halsteadk 22:29, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See Also??

Why is Kong Hee listed? Does he have some sort of relationship here? If so why is this not mentioned elsewhere in the text?

Doctoral Degree

What specifically is Phil Pringle a Doctor of? From what University did he graduate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.104.77.178 (talk) 23:16, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty much.

WHO???

Who is this Matt that is mentioned as being married to his daughter? Why is he important enough to get a mention, with no last name or mention elsewhere in the article? 124.186.243.171 (talk) 13:08, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't take it for granted that Wikipedia readers will understand your abbreviations. Why square rather than round brackets? Koro Neil (talk) 00:25, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
