Mesa State College
Yeah I'm sorry about that, I was in a hurry and forgot. Thanks for the reminder about Mesa State College. JLAmidei 14:49, 12 May 2011
Hi, My earlier edit on Tally Solutions was deleted, I don't see it as promotional. I don't work at Tally and is in no way affiliated to them. Extension capabilities in common formats and programming languages is an essential feature of any software and listing it here seemed like a good idea. I just mentioned the capabilities and didn't say it was excellent or used promotional language. Answering me will give me insight into how to write and edit better. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philip.wdme (talk • contribs) 09:07, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Couple of things: first it was written in the second person ("you"); second, it was more like "how to" material rather than encyclopedic content. – ukexpat (talk) 13:19, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello - thank you for your note. I work for Solae and our logo has been changed to reflect the company's name change from The Solae Company to Solae. You can see the new logo reflected on our website (www.solae.com) The information is unclear as to what specific step is needed to correct the information. The incorrect outdated logo on this page is creating some confusion for customers and consumers.

Thank you for taking care of NomoGaia. I clearly was working too late with too many tabs open and I forgot to do something about it last night. --Danger (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Joygf53/ArtistScope
Hello Ukexpat. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Joygf53/ArtistScope, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: This is in userspace and is apparently a working draft for an article. If you feel otherwise, please take this to Miscellany for deletion. Thank you. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 02:20, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- I am aware that the draft has not been edited since May, but I have left a note on the editor's talk page explaining that it will be deleted in a week if no work is done on it. I have also noted that I have prevented it being indexed by Google, Bing, etc. If it is not edited in the next 7 days, and I forget to delete it, then remind me on my talk page (if PROD could be used on userspace pages, I would have used that) PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 02:25, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I agree that it does not belong here ultimately, but to play fair, I thought the editor should be given a week's notice - with it having noindex, it won't show up in search results - and I'd be surprised if it could be brought up to spec. If it goes to MfD, I'd be saying 'delete' PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 02:28, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
OK I think I fixed it
File:Judgeoctober1953.jpg.jpg OK, my first image, I used the Template:Non-free use rationale thing. As far as I know I did it right I got three of those copyright warnings, so I put it in all three places. Do I still need to do the reduce thing? Honestly I'm pretty ignorant of what's high res? low res? Thank You Proczach (talk) 21:06, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, now I have something to go by in the future
File:Judgeoctober1953.jpg.jpg Though this and one other thing are then only images I've been itching to get on here; but I do have a large collection of paper ephemera I may occasionally feel appropriate to upload Proczach (talk) 15:29, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
Ayurveda (band)
Dear Expat,
You had input into my page, Ayurveda (band), back in March. I have since made deletions and edits based on feedback I received. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a look at the page again and let me know what you think.
A little history: The page was deleted once for sounding too "fan-based". A question of notability came up as well; one criticism was that the videos were all live (and anyone can do that)...Ayurveda has since debuted their first concept video, "Domestic Bliss". Their most recent album, "H. Luminous" was favorably reviewed by The Washington Post; they have also been favorably mentioned in another leading U.S. publication, The New York Post. Whysosirius (talk) 14:26, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
My take on notability: Ayurveda has a particularly strong fan-base among the Nepali community, both inside the States and in Nepal. Because Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world with little media (tv, radio, etc.) available, new music travels by word-of-mouth & internet. Ayurveda is big in Nepal; music lovers there have been clamoring to get them to tour Nepal for the last couple years. This year, October 11, Ayurveda will tour there and in India.
My point is, the denying of a page in Wikipedia seems like cultural elitism to me. Wikipedia is supposed to be a global medium and what might not be "fully notable" by western standards may be in other parts of the world.
Feedback on the page itself?...Feedback on the notability issue? Many thanks & Namaste.Whysosirius (talk) 15:46, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
P.S. I did do a considerable amount of editing to the page taking into consideration feedback on the "sounding too fan-based" issue.
- Wikipedia notability isn't "cultural elitism" or about popularity or strength of fan base, it is simply a matter of the coverage that the subject has received in reliable sources -- they must be reliable and verifiable. The WP and NYP articles would be a good start. – ukexpat (talk) 02:10, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
