Sunset High School is a suburban high school in Portland, Oregon, USA. It is one of 7 high schools in the Beaverton School District. The school currently offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The class of 2006 includes 27 International Baccalaureate Diploma students, and over half of Sunset's seniors (class of 2006) are enrolled in at least one IB class. Sunset belongs to the Metro League for interscholastic athletics and activities.

9% of all students are in ESL programs. On the SAT, students received an average of 558 on the verbal portion and 563 on the math, and have the highest average scores in the Beaverton area. Sunset students had a 3.4% drop out rate. (Unless otherwise stated, statistics are as of the 2002-2003 school year.) [1]

The Sunset Rocketry Club is a student-initiated model rocketry club at the school. The club attended the 2003 Team America Rocketry Challenge finals in Manassas, Virginia. Sunset High School also hosted the 2004 State Thespian conference.

Trivia

According to Sunset's History department, Sunset High School was the location of the last speech given by Senator Robert Kennedy before his assassination in 1968.
