Shahrzad Rafati was born in Tehran, Iran. In 2005, she graduated from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering; She studied French from Université Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV)
Career
While at the University of British Columbia, Rafati started BroadbandTV Corp.[1] She is also a co-founder of Chopra Yoga Center in Vancouver, British Columbia.[2]
Rafati founded Make Change in 2005. Make Change is a non-profit organization aimed at alleviating human suffering in disadvantaged areas by uniting NGOs, donors and the mass population around the world.[citation needed]
In 2008, Rafati was named among the Top 5 Feature Entrepreneurs in the Media & Entertainment Industry by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs of British Columbia.[6]
