Mario Canahuati is a Honduran politician, businessman and a former Honduran ambassador to the United States.[1][2] He is a former President of the Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP).[3]

Representing the National Party of Honduras, Canahuati was the vice-presidential candidate of Porfirio Lobo Sosa in the Honduran general election, 2005, which Manuel Zelaya won.[4] Currently he serves as Foreign Minister under President Porfirio Lobo Sosa.[5]

Canahuati is of Palestinian and Greek descent.[1]
