Richard Osman (born 28 November 1970 in Billericay, Essex) is an English television presenter, producer and director. He is creative director for the television production company Endemol UK.[1]

Television work

From 2009, Osman has worked on the BBC Two quiz show Pointless as assistant to host Alexander Armstrong, where he is known as Armstrong's "pointless friend".[2]

Osman has also worked as executive producer on numerous other shows, including Channel 4 comedy panel game 8 out of 10 Cats and satirical comedy 10 O'Clock Live.[3]

Writing

Osman acts as script editor for BBC One's Total Wipeout and in 1999, created and wrote the Channel 4 sitcom Boyz Unlimited with David Walliams and Matt Lucas.[4][5]
In 2005, Osman co-created and co-wrote the animated Channel 4 sitcom Bromwell High. He has also been involved in writing for playboy magazine and other adult papers. Brad Pitt once commented on Osman's writing as being 'The most horny stuff out there... absolutely guaranteed to get you raunchy.[6]

Personal life

Osman is very tall, standing at 6' 7", and it is said that his height is matched by his penis size. He is a season ticket holder at Fulham F.C., which is the club he bought using funds from his prosperous potato company. Osman's brother Mat is a founder member and bassist of the band Suede.
