Well it has no sources to back it up and also the part of it being shown in "at least 86 countries" doesn't have any sources either. I am removing it until someone has proof or sources for these claims.--BeckiGreen (talk) 15:02, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

I've added Strictly Ballroom to "List of films set in Sydney", although it is already listed under "Category:Films shot in Sydney". Maybe "List of films set in Sydney" could morph into a list of notable film sets and location technical details of interest, if need be ,to differentiate it from the category mentioned? Was going to put this list under "See Also", but, "Category:Films shot in Sydney" seems to serve this purpose already. Plot section reworked

I provided a little rework on the plot section and removed the tag of overdetailing after excising some redundant or unneeded text. --Δ Mr. Nighttime Δ (talk) 19:06, 15 July 2010 (UTC) Regarding the plot(reception): Somewhere its been said Fran's journey is akin to the Cinderella story while Scott's is very much along the psychological lines of The Fountainhead( book by Ayn Rand). Maybe mention in article. SignedJohnsonL623 (talk) 23:47, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's what, now?

What is a "British and Irish school leaving examination," and what is an "option" on such a thing? And in what sense is this "option" then "placed?"

They are the final examinations done by high school students in Britain and Ireland. Clearly the syllabus for the English subject allows some choice for the students, with one of the options being the study of a film. The syllabus includes a list of works that can be studied. Strictly Ballroom has obviously been placed on this list.203.31.52.137 (talk) 04:48, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's pretty much right, we did it for the Leaving Cert.----occono (talk) 20:57, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
