Kshitij Wagh is an Indian playback singer. He debuts with his first Hindi film duet 'Mehki Mehki' with Shreya Ghoshal, for the upcoming film Game, Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Kangna Ranaut and Sarah-Jane Dias, Music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Early life

Born into a Maharashtrian family in Gwalior, brought up in Delhi, Kshitij started singing when he was only 4 years old. He trained under the guidance of his father. He derived his inspiration from his father and the singing giants like Mohd Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Ghulam Ali, Michael Jackson etc. After completing his graduation in B.Sc.(electronics), he worked as a software engineer for a website for 2 years, when he got an opportunity in Delhi to sing for a TV commercial. Realizing that his heart and potential was always in singing, he decided to quit job and pursue singing as a full time career, and started singing jingles in Delhi.

Playback singing

Kshitij moved to Mumbai in april 2003 to try his luck in playback singing. Keeping jingles as his main profession, he continued meeting music directors and polishing his singing skills at the same time.

The turning point came in 2009 when he got to meet Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy through his friend and playback singer Anusha Mani. Liking his demo, they used his voice for Cadbury's TV commercial 'Aaj pehli taarikh hai' subsequently giving his first duet with shreya ghoshal 'Mehki Mehki'.
